2. THE DIAMOND WORKS JEWELLERY MAKING WORKSHOP

The Diamond Works Institute launches exclusive Jewellery Making Workshops.

Each workshop features a guided hands-on workshop by skilled goldsmith Russell Lavigre sharing the details of the featured metal and a greater understanding of the metal. Mark Gieljoumie, GIA certified Gemmologist introduces the gem that will be included into the jewellery design, sharing the not often spoken secrets of what makes each special stone.

6. TAKE A DRIVE TO Van Der Stel Pass near Botriver.

Just an hour drive from Cape Town. The Van der Stel Pass lies between Bot River and Villiersdorp, a beautiful pass that takes one via the Theewaterskloof Dam.

1864 N7’s oldest farmstall at Piekenierskloof Pass.

Located about 6km from Citrusdal on the Piekenierskloof Pass this beautiful deli is an ideal spot for a relaxing time with friend and family.

From delicious home made breads, pizzas, pies and much more to a delicious cup of coffee and wine tasting that one can enjoy when visiting.

9. FARM SANCTUARY SA

Farm Sanctuary SA is the registered NPO where the inspiration is born, awakening a brush with the extraordinary for all who wonder through the impressive barn doors. Located in the magnificent Franschhoek Valley of South Africa, expect to be overwhelmed with solitude – this is a sanctuary, after all. Come and meet the farm animals between 11am and 4pm daily (365 days of the year!).

Admission is free but donations are appreciated.

10. THE LONG MARCH TO FREEDOM EXHIBITION

The Long March to Freedom is a collection of 100 life-size figures that will grow into a procession of over 400 bronze statues over time. Visitors can walk through the loosely spaced procession, beginning in the 1700s with rebel chiefs and renegade missionaries, along generations of freedom fighters, until they meet Walter Sisulu, Oliver Tambo and Nelson Mandela at the dawn of South Africa’s democracy.

Long March to Freedom is open weekly; Wednesday to Sunday 10:00 – 15:30.


Admission (Full day ticket) SA Citizens/Permanent Residents R20, International Visitors R75, Concession Tickets R10 (students, pensioners, special groups)
Children Under 10-Free.

11. ROLLER SKATE AT ROLLERCADE!

Rollercade is the 1st indoor roller skating amusement park in Cape Town. Providing a safe and friendly environment for the entire family to enjoy roller-skating, a game of pool or just to sit back and enjoy the music.
