Lanseria International Airport won the coveted ACI Africa (ACI)award for the safest airport in
Southern Africa at the recent ACI awards.
Created to recognise excellence and professionalism in the management of aerodrome
safety, the ACI awards were recently held in Marrakesh, Morocco.
This is not the first time Lanseria International has been recognised by ACI. The airport
achieved second place for the “Best Airport in Africa” in 2019.
“We are particularly proud of winning in the safety category given that the award focuses on
promoting development, safety, and maintenance in the aviation sector. Key criteria judging
included safety policy, risk management, safety assurance, and safety promotion,” explains
