“Kogelberg Nature Reserve is considered to be the most beautiful of CapeNature’s protected areas”*** and we could not disagree with that.
Eco Pod (Mbali Collection) at Kogelberg are a beautifully located and great option for that well-deserved escape away from the city. It is an ideal place for nature lovers and for those wanting to relax surrounded by beautiful views.
We stayed at their Eco Pods beginning of the year and absolutely loved it. Herewith are our top 5 reasons to choose this beautiful place for your Spring escape:
ONE
Location – Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve is situated in the Western Cape Province, within 40 km from Cape Town. As you turn off from the R44 into the gravel road leading to the reserve the surroundings immediately become peaceful and tranquil. It is all about mountain views, luscious nature around you and serenity.
TWO
Accommodation – Nestled in the heart of how it is often called the Cape Floral Kingdom, the Eco Pods makes the most of this beautiful location.
The self-catering ECO PODS have been designed with rest and relaxation in mind.
“They contain everything you need and nothing that could distract you from reconnecting with the great outdoors and each other.
You can lie in bed and look out onto the mountains or chill on the deck where a stone gabion wall ensures privacy. On balmy days the stacking doors let you bring the outside in while the eco-pool invites you to laze the hours away. For nights with a nip in the air, there’s a wood-burning stove at the heart of the cabin.
There are five 2-sleeper units with an open flow ideally suited to couples. Each cabin has a bedroom, lounge, kitchen and dining area, and a separate bathroom. For groups of friends and family, there are three cabins that can sleep up to six people each. These cabins have three bedrooms, two bathrooms (one of which is en suite), a kitchen, lounge and dining area. All the cabins feature a deck with built-in braai.”***
There are also lovely cabins for larger groups and families.
